Mint Ive, Delta Red, The Fakers, Lucky Bullet and
Daddy Rough kick out the jams for Owd Big 'Ead...

Whether you're Garibaldi, Monochrome or one of those types who go to Walkabout to see a big red or blue club you have no real affiliation to, you have to give it up to the good people of the Brian Clough Statue Fund. 18 months after its formation, the goal of £60,000 for a proper monument to the greatest manager of all time is tantalisingly close - and thanks to the Rescue Rooms and a selection of NottsRock talent, it'll get even closer this month.

Friday December 15th sees Clough Aid, a full-on tribute to the man himself with all profits going to the Fund...

MINT IVE

DELTA RED

Strongly influenced by the less twattier aspects of Madchester, Delta Red are a back-to-basics breath of fresh air, with tunes shot through with confidence and authenticity. LUCKY BULLET

From the distant North (Hucknall, Forest Town, Sutton in Ashfield and Huthwaite, to be exact), here is a band who demonstrate that you can have synths without being poncy about it. Comparisons to Echo and the Bunnymen and early U2 have already been drawn...

 DADDY ROUGH

...and as a timely reminder that Brian Clough reigned over two cities, Indie-rockers Daddy Rough represent Ram-Town with a five-handed assault on all things tabular.

Tickets for this event are priced at a mere fiver and are selling out like one-o, so get yourself over to Selectadisc or the Rock City box office immediately - or order by credit card here. Under-18s will be turned away, clouted round the tab and then kissed on the gob on the local news, or something.
