Crossing the Sea by Radio
Formication
Electronica layered, synthetic sounds creating an ambience of the underwater world. There is a slow evolution over a maximum amount of time as scrambled vocals and synths reverberate and become obscured. Track three is dark and mysterious full of acoustical serenity. Exciting and enticing, an exploration of humans and space unfolds from the ambient soundfield. Ace. www.theformicarium.com

The Race
Good rustic looking cover design. A double A-side single of soft chiming guitars creating colorful illusions. Full of rippling drums, guitar strums and piano strikes of passionate highs and calming dips. Samey sentimental melodic indie rock. Good if your heart is pulled by Coldplay, Keane and that lot. Out October 3rd

I’m liking the cover doodles. Funky, digital 80’s beats full of energy. This is for the boys and girls who dance like cartoon animations. A fantastic little track when having mates round for tea and bopping around the kitchen washing up! As great as trying to write your name with sparklers! Winter is fast approaching. Catch this October 10th on Regal Label

Bloodhound Gang
A peeled banana-car features throughout the video as well as a fine oiled up lass! Though this new single doesn’t push the boundaries. A typical US inoffensive rock style. This is a mild follow up from their hit “Do it like mammals.” F.U.C.K is out 19th September.
Round and Round
Body Rockers
Haven’t I heard this intro before? Ah ZZ top… Me likes the metal guitar and house beat fusion. As a reworking of their last track “I like the way you feel” this is a lazy effort by Body Rockers. It will be played endlessly on Radio One tho, so grab your handbags to circle round and round and round…Out on the 19th September.

Timeless Bandits/ Matt J
After hours, late night bar music. A funk bubbler of steady pace, mellow and chilled with a progressive house flavour. “Head first” oscillates between speed garage tune “Rip Grove” by Double 99 and from the era of ’98, “Gabriel” by Roy Davis featuring Peven Everett. A fresh original feel of speed garage sound brought through to 2005.

Chattin on like Cassette Boy this track has a speedy trashy Brit hiphop taste. Bling, Aftershock, Argos and a kebab are witty lyrics to charm. Blast this in ya system n feel the woofer rumbling. P.C? Very. Proper Class!

Stephen Fretwell
I saw this dude live, he had the whole crowd alive and singing! A heart warming track, learn the words and sing along too! A melodic song of sexy vocals, acoustic guitars with piano and string accompaniment. Optimistic even on rainy nights.

Sheriff Fatman
Punk group of fast drums, guitar and vocals. Bit like Clash meets my shed that burnt down. The Finger is a class tune with a gross Bassline start, joined up by ska style plunky guitar and drums. Put it on, volume up, dance about and spit. You will feel the punknik (the graffiti spray across the music scene).
