An Audience With Carl Froch

09/08/2012

Your chance to have a word with Nottingham's King Boxer

Carl Froch is, without question, the most important boxer to come out of Nottingham since Bendigo gave Portly Tom Ricketts a bare-knuckled one up the bracket in Round 158 of their title fight, round the back of a workhouse in Sneinton in the year Eighteen Long-Time. Former holder of the British, Commonwealth and English super middleweight belts. Former two-time WBC Super Middleweight Champion. Current IBF Super Middleweight Champion of the world. Unmistakably rock. And he's heard you've got summat to ask him.

So, if you've ever fancied calling out a world champion boxer in a pub, mark Thursday the 16th of August in your diary, for that's the night that Carl Froch makes himself available for questions at The Approach on Friar Lane. We did an interview with Carl ages ago, and can confirm that he's open, approachable and Proper Notts, so it's going to be a belter of a night.

As with all the Approach's An Audience With...nights, the evening is hosted by Five Live and Arnold's very own Darren Fletcher, and it's bound to be a ridiculously entertaining evening for those who enjoy the sight of fist on face and want to hear more about the people who do it for a living - and if you fancy making a proper night of it, you and your mates can reserve a table for a slap-up meal beforehand. Tickets start from £15, so don't hang about.

An Audience With Carl Froch, Thursday 16 August, The Approach, 12-18 Friar Lane, NG1 6DQ. £15 admission, £35 for admission and three-course meal
