| Super sharp denim brand Firetrap launch a new Nottingham Store |
Super sharp denim brand, Firetrap clothing finally reaches Nottingham this weekend and has hooked up with LeftLion to get a feel for their new town. Their new shop is launched on Saturday 13 March on Bridlesmith Gate and not only have LeftLion added some exclusive content to the Firetrap instore magazine, but we also helped them pick out some great local turntablists to play instore during their opening weekend.
This is the seventh dedicated Firetrap store on the map and their opening weekend will include music from Nottingham DJ heroes Red Rack’em, Beane Noodler and Kaysha. Also the first 50 purchases in store on both days will be treated to a unique limited edition t-shirt customised by legendary Graffiti artist The Urbanist.

The store design builds on our unique concept first revealed in Meadowhall and particular attention was paid to enhancing the characteristic of the magnificent listed building that will be our new home. We hope that the Firetrap spirit and style will entice those that love great fashion."
This seasons Firetrap collection takes the brand's industrial and utility-influenced design and softens it for spring. Tough biker and utilitarian trends take centre stage in womenswear with a soft suede studded dress with asymmetric detailing in a washed grey hue epitomising the collection. Menswear sees rock n’ roll influences juxtaposed with sportswear in motif tees, nylon blouson’s and a military-inspired jacket cut out of soft jersey.
The store has 2370 sq ft of retail space spread over two floors and the fit has been sympathetically designed to showcase the buildings listed features while still conveying Firetrap’s edgy rock'n'roll spirit. Steel floor panels lead into bruised timber floorboards with power cable chandeliers to highlight the buildings original leaded windows and ornate cornices. Custom-made fittings complete the look. Nails feature on the tops of tables to display denim while branded mannequins in raw and rusty steel present the collection.
The Nottingham store, located at 58 Bridlesmith Gate, NG1 2GP, will hold the full range of men’s and women’s collections as well as denim, accessories, footwear and watches all under one roof.
