Nottingham New Year's Eve Events 2011

10/12/2011

It’s the night of the year when everyone is out! But what will you be doing to celebrate the start of 2012? If you’re staying in Notts then here are some options...

LeftLion and I'm Not From London NYE ExtravaganzaNew Years Eve Extravaganza
@ The Maze

LeftLion and I’m Not From London present a party to end 2011  - and possibly a few more future years too. On the bill are the stage-breaking Baby Godzilla, the earworm-tastic Captain Dangerous, the deadly fiddles of Maniere des Bohemians and the party krank of Hot Japanese Girl. Throw in Future Sound of Nottingham 2010 winners Long Dead Signal, the frankly mental rock newcomers Mokshah, the electro-pop of Tray Electric and an acoustic set from Gaz of the Breadchasers and it’s a jam-packed affair all round.

Tickets: SOLD OUT

Soulbuggin'

With Osbourne (DiY), Alex Traska (MHYH) and Wrighty, Beane and Mark A (Soul Buggin') on the decks you can expect everything from latin shufflers to glitterball disco gear to solid underground house. Quite simply, if its got soul coursing through it's veins the chaps from Soulbuggin’ will play it.

New Years Eve
@ Glee

The comedy choice for NYE revellers continues down the Waterfront with a heavyweight comedy bill at The Glee Club - Josh Widdicombe (Stand Up for The Week, Channel 4), the mischievous and dark comedy of Carey Marx, impressive newcomer Jimmy McGhie (Russell Howard's Good News, BBC2) and Welshman Mike Bubbins, who Rhod Gilbert has described as "hilariously gifted'.

With brilliant comics, a tasty club menu, the big midnight countdown and after show disco it's a complete night out without having to wade through the carnage in town.
