After its birth last October, Show and Tell has had a few months off to iron its shirt, clean its glasses and polish its shoes and it's now ready for an all singing, all dancing come back this Sunday.
Show and Tell, the magazine/community-based meet up will be a permanent fixtureon Broadway's schedule on the first Sunday of each month. July’s get together is a Music Video Special in association with Wowsers Trousers and Dance4 and they will be showcasing the cream of the crop of Nottingham’s music videos. They’re playing their cards close to their chests but we reckon there will be some ruddy awesome stuff being shown.
The beauty of Show and Tell is they like to get people up and about and with the help of Dance4 the night will also include a Clash of The Styles: Street Battle. Yes, there’s going to be a dance-off in the public spaces of Broadway and you are encouraged heartily to show off your moves and get stuck in. Not only that, there will be a one-off screening of Girl Walk by All Day at 8.30pm – a rare chance to see the feature-length dance video set to mash-up king Girl Walk’s latest release that follows three dancers lighting up New York City as they move through it.
So, checklist: music videos, local talent, dancing and innovative filmmaking. We’ll be there, with bells on.
Show and Tell Music Video Special is at Broadway at 7pm, Free. Girl Walk/All Day screening at 8.30pm, £7.
