This seventh and final edition of The Eastpak Antidote Tour testifies to its unique place in the punk rock scene in Europe. The line-up signals a clear declaration to go out with a bang with blockbuster bands A Day To Remember, August Burns Red, The Ghost Inside and Living with Lions.
The Line-up
Florida’s A Day To Remember have released three albums, sold out entire continental tours and topped Billboard charts around the globe. Their fourth studio album, What Separates Me From You, expands the band’s ever-widening spectrum and is set to be the triumphant next step in their already shining career.
August Burns Red have found themselves crisscrossing the globe on the road to the top of the hard rock heap. When it came time to record their fourth full-length album, Leveler, ABR could have played it safe, could have simply cashed in on their previous success. Instead, after eight years and a quarter of a million albums sold, they scrapped the old game plan and followed their sound where it led them.
The Ghost Inside launched their own unique brand of aggressive yet melodic metal/hardcore in the spring of 2007 with their debut album Fury And The Fallen Ones. Two incredibly intense years on the road not only earned the fledgling band a solid reputation on the scene but also lead to recording their follow-up album Returners. This genuine tour de force not only succeeds in transcending genres but also crushes them and everything else in its path.
Fresh from the release of their much-anticipated second full-length album Holy Shit, Living With Lions is more than just a support act. There is definitely something tangibly different about this Vancouver-based band and fans and newcomers alike will be treated to some trademark dynamics and a fresh, almost anthem-esque sound. In many ways, Holy Shit touches on all the hallmarks of good punk rock – angst, frustration, regret, longing and triumph – while staying true to the band’s identity.
