Left Back is the all new LeftLion sports podcast. Taking its name from the inspiration provided by the likes of Stuart Pearce and... erm, Meindert Dijkstra, we'll be offering a monthly update of sport in Nottingham, delivered straight into your tabs.
Your regular hosts are Jared and Alan, though Alan wasn't in this episode as he was busy down south negotiating a multi-million pound 2012 Olympic Sponsorship deal. Jared, meanwhile, was happy to get hold of a voucher booklet from Subway on his way to the studio.
In future the show will cover the full spectrum of Nottingham’s favourite sports, including cricket, rugby, ice hockey, boxing and binge drinking. But for this first, and rather stripped down, show we concentrate solely on the start of the new football season and the chances of our two local teams.
Guests pundits on this episode of the show are local web lotharios Alex Walker and Jacob Daniel. Alex is one of the founders of Forest fan site Lost That Loving Feeling (LTLF.co.uk) and has watched the Tom Cruise movie Top Gun more than 12,000 times. Jacob is a child prodigy and, despite being a crisp-eating jumper-wearer (Leicester), he is the current Editor of Notts County Mad (nottscounty-mad.co.uk).
