Write Lion celebrates a hat trick of literary podcasts with the usual eclectic mix of guests. In this show we’ll be taking you through the Napoleonic Wars courtesy of local author Peter Youds and then for a bit of arm wrestling with Dutch bestselling author Tommy Wieringa and Birmingham Book Festival organiser Jonathan Davidson.

Tom Wright gives an insight into life on the MA in Creative Writing at NTU, Gareth Dicks tells us all about a WWII musical he’s written and Garrison kindly provide a couple of their mesmerising tracks. Nuff said...

Tom Wright is on the Creative Writing MA at NTU and popped in to tell us a little bit about the course and what he hopes to achieve from it. He specialises in Childrens’ fiction.
Robin Lewis, one of our literature reviewers, talked to Peter Youds about the Napoleonic wars and his swash buckling trilogy of books that are linked to Nottingham.
Gareth Peter Dicks has just written a WWII musical called Bluebird and popped in to tell us all about casting, promoting, writing and singing.

Tommy Wieringa popped over to Britain as part of the Go Dutch project and discussed his best -selling novel Joe Speedboat which is about a disabled arm wrestler. He was joined by Go Dutch coordinator Jonathan Davies, the coordinator of the Writer Networking Conference and the Birmingham Book Festival.
