The Social is a decent bar / small club. It's got a very decent beer garden and hosts loads of gigs and club nights. It's probably one of the best places to see bands play just before they make it big.

Hottest bar staff.
by R O B Jan 30, 2010, 01:31:25 amI saw a hot ladies pants in that place once. She did a limbo and flashed. She didn't care. That only added to the hotness. = I like the place.
by myhouse-yourhouse Feb 09, 2010, 09:19:38 pmThe bar downstairs is loud, obnoxious, poorly kept, badly laid out and overpopulated by a garralous clientelle hammered on badly made drinks. That's some people's bag, not mine. It's also massively successfull though, so at least for some demographic the equation balances and is hence guaranteed to be attended on even the quietest Tuesday night in town.
Its legendary for its gigs and I myself have caught some excellent performances, albeit ruined by the also legendarily abismal quality of their sound system. How can a venue with such musical prowess overlook such an important factor??
A true institution in the Nottingham music scene, but I can't help but feel that it's always fallen slightly short of its true potential.
