One of the best small live venues in town. Has a nice traditional drinking pub to the front and a small live venue that doubles as a club at the back (you go through the pub to get to it). Usually stock a good selection of real ales and all the usual drinks, and good service. Music in the club can range broadly, from punk nights to indie to house, so if you are particular in what you like to listen too best check in advance on their website to see what is on. For smokers there is a small smoking area at the back if you are in the venue area, but if you are drinking in the pub you will have to smoke outside the front.

The Maze also has disabled access, has a beer garden {ahem} or something pretty similar,  discounts for students (with valid IDs or not...) is a pub, a club and a music venue, so has entertainment covered with its comedy and cabaret shows...

Just thought i'd mention that as i want more pretty images next to our name. ;p
I won't review the place though as i might be a bit bias?

The best small(er) venue in the midlands.

Been to so many stomping nights at the Maze, even a few bloody good chill ones.

The beer is always well kept and the people are all bloody lovely.  The smoking area out the back is well nice now as well. Surprising how many bodies you can fit in one place!

Also after the refurb the sound seems to have got even better than before, and now the dancefloor is more open its ace. They've even got some barriers for the stage in after Easy Star All Stars played!

Very much my home from home!
