A friendly bar that caters for all kinds of people, the first stop on many a Saturday night out in Nottingham town. Plenty of beers on tap, cocktails and spirits also they serve really good food during the day.

This bar had/has real potential, but all I've witnessed in the few years it's been with us is standards slipping.

The beer is poorly kept. We used to frequent it as an after-work meeting point but stopped returning after dissapointing ales.

I used to enjoy the food. The fish and chips from the "lite bites" menu was hardly a lite bite! The portion was huge, the batter was thick and shattered like a bottle over a pavement. That was 2005. Since then I've eaten there a couple of times and always been hugely dissapointed.

It really wouldn't take much imagination and hard work and attention to detail to put this place back to its original status. It's ideally placed for student trade, but fortunately doesn't pander to them. There's always a nice friendly mix of people there.

Twat-free, which can't be bad. And some nice art.

I've always had good food here. Had Sunday lunch last week and it wasn't great though. The veg was really watery and the beef was obviously pre-sliced and warmed up, but the gravy and potatoes were excellent!
