Journey of the Mind
When: 1-22nd February
Where: The New Art Exchange

Starting this month, Journey of the Mind is set to be an eye opening, soul transforming art exhibition. Based around the texts of Sikh teachings, the artists Kanwar Singh encourages visitors to explore their mind and spirituality through the art. His intentions behind his work were to bridge the gap between 'us', 'them' and 'all'. Showing regardless of race, religion, and gender, to our core we have the commonality of our minds.

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
When: 7-11 February
Where: Theatre Royal, Royal Concert Hall
How much: £20-45
Based on the Sunday Times bestseller and incredible 2011 adaptation, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is set to be the play to watch this month. The memorable storyline takes us through the tale of British retirees embarking on a new life in India. Regardless of the well-known cast, this play is set to leave you crying, laughing, and maybe even crying with laughter! Get down to the Royal Concert Hall and see Nottingham’s own adaption of this iconic movie.

Tour of Nottinghamshire Archives
When: Thursday 9 February, 11am
Where: Nottinghamshire Archives

The Nottinghamshire Archives are opening for a tour into the history and culture of the city. The tour is set to give you an insight into the conservation work it takes to look after some of the traditional books and photos. It also includes a live demonstration of how they repair torn pages using different techniques. If you’re interested in conservation and the history of Nottingham, this ones for you!

The Girls Bathroom - Live

Nottingham’s own YouTube sensations are coming back to give their iconic girl chats. Anyone who follows them knows, Wednesday podcasts are the funniest most helpful discussions about friendships, relationships and dramas. Bringing this to life, Sophia and Cinzia are set to bring their quintessential girl chats to Nottingham this month, and its not one to miss! Whether you’re new to their content or an old fan, you will not regret attending this show!

Janine Johnson’s ‘Soul in the City’

Where: Peggy’s Skylight

Fancy a bit of Jazz? Janine Johnson is coming back to Peggy’s Skylight with a night full of old school soul and jazz. Her music celebrates old school classic sounding jazz, with her own individual twist on it. She is an incredible rising solo artist and been compared to the likes of Jocelyn Brown, Gwen McCrae or Chaka Khan. Get down this Friday to the iconic Jazz venue to catch her, you won’t regret it!
