Started writing this months ago.I'm not on form at all writing wise this time of year.
Thought this was worth posting though.

Thinking back

Do you remember the time
Before we awoke?

When we thought Tony Blair
Was a reasonable bloke

Before he was best mates
With Mr George Bush

Way back in the nineties..
Before the Oil rush

Just before twin towers
Collapsed right on cue

As concrete got powdered
...& steel melted too

Back in the old days
Before Barrak Obama

Before 'Shock and Awe'
& the search for 'Osama'

Before seal team six
Got blown out of the sky

& all our young lads
Hadn't signed up to die

They were innocent times

I'm sure you'll agree

I prefered it back then......

When I thought we were free.

Ps: I'll be reading this at 'Speech Therapy' this coming Thursday. Presuming of course Mr Mulletproof has
space on his setlist for me.

Unfortunatley I didn't make it to 'Speech Therapy' this month, I've had this cold thats going round.
I would have sounded awful on the mic as well as feeling shitty, so i decided to give it a miss.

Only lasted 4 or 5 days tbh, just my luck it clashed with the only night of the month I actually go out.
Was it a good night? usually is.

Will the next one be on the Thursday 23rd? I'm guessing so, I'm not sure.
I'm trying to finish writing that 'Ancient Mariner' one currently, would be nice to have it ready for the next night.
