Dynamic duo of soulful singer John Turrell and highly respected producer, DJ and musician Smoove are the next big thing! The Newcastle based duo plus their live band will be coming to the Maze to give you some of that old school soul, funk, dance and pop with a host of songs that have seen them become many top DJs favourite band in recent months! Having played Radio 2 live on Xmas Eve 2011 and a session of BBC 6 on New Years Eve, it seems 2012 will be their year!
Slots at Glastonbury, Kendal Calling and Big Chill went down a storm last year and BBC Radio 2 awarded them Record of the week twice in 2011!
Their second album was released in 2011 to rave reviews from the likes of the Independent (4/5) and Blues and Soul Magazine (9/10) as well as non stop airplay from many Radio shows including their own champion Craig Charles who claims they are the best band in the UK!

Recently been getting airplay and rave reviews for their debut single 'Trouble', originally the brain child of a producer and a blues/jazz jam musician, who met a acoustic singer/songwriter with a great soul voice somewhere between Bristol, Nottingham and Coventry. They grew the band and now have several musicians who mix up Jazz, Funk, Blues, Folk, Dance, Trip-Hop and many other influences with Emily Martin's dynamic and seductive vocal to spice it all up!
