I havn't been here for a while and looking at the state of the forum I realise why. It used to be such a hotbed of debate for important topics such as The Bomb, Nottinghams downwardly spiraling nightlife scene, how big nottinghams promotors ego's are and some armchair politics thrown in for good measure.

Is the forum a representation of the decline of our fair city? RIP chat and chelp, may your memory forever be forgotten in the mists of time.

Hopfully it'll pick up again, although that will require more people to get involved more regularly. I think a couple of thigns have happened:

1. The server / site was running terribly for too long which put put people off (but is now resolved)
2. Facebook an Twitter have become so popular that general interest forums like this one have been hit pretty hard, forums with a very specific niche can still work, and i think this one could be in there, but we'll have to wait and see.

So all in all, if we want it to remain a worthwhile place we all need to use it more, or suggest ways we can improve it to make it more engaging. I am more than up for suggestions.

The main thing is having cotnent and discussion that is worth people coming back to check and get involved in.

I guess the lack of content is due to lack of users. Most of the content is adverts at the mo. The only thread that I would call discussion (not promoting somebody or something) is the Perigrin Falcon thread which has been resurected from time past!

I suppose it is a bit sad to see this forum relatively empty after being so popular up until a year or two ago. But it's worth pointing out that the main site is busier than ever right now - so it's definitely to do with people's choices about communications technology and not anything more worrying for us at LL as a whole.

And ways of communication just change and evolve. However, if you want to chat on here then strike up a conversation and see what happens.

On a totally different note SAMYOUWELL, congratulations on the great news about your missus being up the duff (which I found out via facebook - the irony). ; )

Yeah the bomb was good in it's day. Very sweaty and very messy at times.
It was like escaping normality somehow, maybe because it was underground.
Or maybe that was just the old skool pills. I Loved DIY (floppy disco) down there, that shit was almost tribal.
Yes, I was into Deep House for a while....Don't go telling everyone.

Ps: Dunno about the polite ejections though Skyfes, they took a nice henry of green off me. It was like a perk of the job for the door staff in there, call it a tip or a bonus if you like.....Ahh the memories.
