Melancholy Voice.

Those eyes show it all,
His long suffering soul
The lingering demons,
Consuming him whole.

Through dark winding streets,
The melancholy voice
Words heard as an echo,
His difference of choice.

Now under these spotlights,
On this stage he replays
The torment he feels,
Until his last given day.

Ancient figures emerge,
Now surrounding his form
Angels with clipped wings,
Try to protect him from harm.

The burning of the thought,
So completely enraptured
Into a now far off past,
As all opinions are captured.

Now strangers assemble,
To his last resting place
Bringing with them his words,
That can never be erased.

I like this one Steve, I reminds me of this track 'The Man who would be king' off the current Iron Maiden Album.
It has much same kinda feel In my mind anyway. If you check out the Lyric's you'll see what i mean. Nice write fella.
