In The Crowd

Beijing’s a bad smile,
Soy teeth

The occasional row
Of raw buildings
With dental fractures,
Mounting scaffold in staccato, in decline
All ebb and ebb,
Ever onwards

The endless recycle of glass,
The audible pouring of beer
Light and breezy
Full of heavy pockets of air
Breaking in waves against the glass,
Lips smacking like brash children’s jokes,
With terrifyingly unforgiving humour

And the infinitely fine dust
Lining my palm an Indian wedding,
Or a spider’s web as bound, a pact,
To the moments I’ve shared
With your subway rails
Your rough coloured walls
Which flake like stars peeling
From an all too busy night

The sun never setting, an endless orange stone
Just too impractical for concern
It doesn’t hurt to stare
To clock it twice

For I’m working my way back up
From being an old stranger
To your new born traffic
Your ebb and ebb
And ever onwards rush

The bleeding push
As new stores are opened
And Beijing explodes around us

I’m learning to swim like a native,
To duck without slipping my tongue

And I’m purposefully drowning,
Drinking in microbacterial history
Loosing myself via your perfect, relentless motion

In that ebb, that ebb
I’m in pasture
Pulled roughly by the surge,

And I’m chocking all of it down,
Now waiting for it
To return.

Well, that's a very professional write CMM. I must read it a few more times to fully grasp the jist of it.
That's not a criticism , It's just me, I can be a bit thick sometimes. (Well so I'm told)
Cheers for posting.
