There's been times in the past
That I've smoked my share of weed
& when i think back to those days
There really was no need
No need to blaze those Herbs
In the way we did those years
But no calling me a 'Lightweight'
Or this may well end in tears..
It was in the days of 'Squidgy black'
'Gold seal' and 'Lebanese'
When a quarter ounce for twenty quid
Could last a week with ease
The UK stoners had things good
And good things don't last for ever
Then sure enough in Amsterdam
Some blokes did something clever
They'd bred new indoor strains
That were potent and productive
It was obvious to all involved
This 'Skunk' could prove seductive
Soon every chav and token staffy
Just wanted 'Skunk', not squidgy or Affy
Dutch indoor hybrids were with us to stay
So It's rare that you'll find good hashish today.

I dunno, It just seemed to add something to the whole cannabis culture when it was smuggled in from
some far-away land. It just felt more cultural, a little exotic maybe if you see where I'm coming from.
& let's be honest, there's nothing cultural or exotic about some generic clones grown in Clifton Flats for example.
Disclaimer:
Rant over, Sorry for mentioning 'Illegal drugs'. I 'do not' promote the use of naturally occuring 'Illegal' plants.
Ps: I am aware that the term 'Skunk' refers to a specific type of strain. The media though will often refer to all indoor cannabis plants as 'Skunk' because they are ignorant puppets.Because of these twats It's become a generic cover all term these days.
