So both our teams remain in their respective leagues. One half of the Trent breathed a sigh of relief yesterday, the other were resigned to play another season in a league that they are clearly not pleased to be in!

But have our teams performed this season?

County looked to be going good at the start and despite yesterdays relief, can county fans really be pleased with the efforts of Thord and Co. that left the Pies future hanging in the balance?

Conversley with Forest, a poor first half to the season left our League One status looking threatened, but the revival in the last part of the campaign got some smiles back on Forest faces, with us narrowly missing out!

So have we have good seasons?

NC can say "Nice one guys! We survived!"

NF can say "Well look at the situation 11 weeks ago! At least we almost made it!"

Or, in the bitter light of hindsight, can we not look at BOTH seasons and see them for what they are? Utter dross...from BOTH sides of the Trent?

What do you think?

Both failures.

When are Forest fans going to realise how hard it is to get promoted?  It has been a miracle comeback - they now have momentum and confidence for next year.  When you are sliding slowly downwards year after year, it is very hard to get back to winning.

Exactly.  And there is no substitute for experience (except perhaps Theo Walcott).

You have exactly one more season to get back up a division.  After that, the money dries up, the bulk of the squad are loans, and you are thinking more about financial security than results.  That is when you are fucked.

Good luck.
