Hockley Hustle have announced today that this year’s event raised a whopping £15,000. Hats off to everyone who came down and did their bit – from performers, to volunteers, to organisers, and everyone who dobbed some cash in and got proper wappy to banging tunes. That dosh couldn't have been raised without you lot.

The venue-based festival came alive once again this year on Sunday 11 October, with Nottingham’s streets bursting with music, art, street performances and food stalls.

The festival reminded us Notts folk of the breadth of musical talent we have, showcasing some of Nottingham’s finest artists, such as Nina Smith, Natalie Duncan, Scor-Zay-Zee, Kagoule and Haggard Cat Bothday Present.

Over twenty venues were recruited to host a whole range of genres, including Das Kino, Jam Café, Suede Bar, The Bodega, The Music Exchange, Brewdog and more.

Proceeds of the event will be shared between local charities: The John van Geest Cancer Research Centre, Framework, Nottingham & Nottinghamshire Refugee Forum, Nottingham CYF Project, Dolly’s Imagination Library and Rething Mental Health (Nottingham).

Give yourselves a pat on the back, and see you next year!
