These four amazing musicians all graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire in the 1970s and pursued individual careers before founding the Quartet in 2002.Mikhail Kopelman was the renowned leader of the Borodin Quartet for 20 years; Boris Kuschnir is a distinguished teacher whose pupils include Julian Rachlin and Nikolai Znaider.
Their performances have received extraordinary reviews. Their Edinburgh Festival concert in 2003 was described as having ‘every hallmark of distinguished musicianship’ and ‘great humanity in the finesse of their playing.
