Description

Rich in atmosphere and talent, Acoustickle is often rated as favourite gig to play by musicians and best night for diversity by audiences. There’s an Acoustickle every month, either at The Maze or The Alley Cafe (www.facebook.com/acoustickle).

Line up

Michael Lynch – Rated by NUSIC as one to watch, Michael’s rise from unknown to well-reputed was almost immediate following a few memorable performances round Nottingham. Simply wonderful songs with a smooth soul vocal that you want to hear forever. www.myspace.com/michaellynchmusicuk

Georgie How – A show-stopping act bound for absolute success, Georgie is unique in voice, song writing and stage presence. Her almost Johnny Cash inspired set is full bodied even in its early stages: it’s inevitable she will become well known in the acoustic circuit this year.

Damp Cookie – With members from Finland and Ireland, this is a rare opportunity to watch a group that barely plays out of Helsinki. Described as Urban Folk with a Grunge leaning, I can’t wait for the international music they will bring. http://soundcloud.com/dampcookie

The Warbirds – 4-piece band from Lincoln, they’ve made some impressive waves so far, supporting great acts and creating a lush Coral-sounding EP which has received BBC Introducing air time. One of those acts you need to hear full blast at a festival. http://thewarbirds.co.uk/

Evil Jack – Beautiful folk to Ska and Rockabilly – these are the sounds of a lovely guy dubbed ‘Evil’. Come watch a relatively new kid on the block and be impressed with his multi-faceted ways. http://soundcloud.com/evil-jack
