International quintet plays hard-bop originals.

Damon (well known to Bonington audiences for his work with Killer Shrimp) has toured Japan three times with Yutaka Shinna and worked in Europe and South Korea regularly with Martin Zenker. A special connexion has grown between the three of them over recent years and led to the birth of this new project. All three contribute original compositions to the programme and have a shared love of the great Hard Bop composers and performers. The spirit and energy of the seminal recordings of Art Blakey , Freddie Hubbard and Wayne Shorter were the inspiration for the groups name but the music is wholly of its own.
