The first of 2012’s DIY Poets quarterly nights at the Maze is on Thursday Feb 9th, featuring an eclectic mixture of live poetry and music. As well as local bards DIY Poets there is a featured poetry set from Bee Patience, whose poems are poignant, amusing and outspoken, inspired by people, alcohol and her overwhelming cynicism and a headline solo electric set from Jonathan Beckett, who mixes musical beauty, lyrical sadness and outsiderism. 8 til late £2 entry
