CALLING ALL ARTISTS! The Harley Gallery wants to see your work and is looking for entries to the first ever Harley Open Exhibition, from 7 January - 5 February 2012.
Our open exhibition theme is 'H is for'... your entry could be a picture of rolling hillsides or cosy houseboats, or perhaps artwork in half-cross-stitch. It could be a brand new piece made especially for the competition, or a treasured artwork that you made some time ago, a massive canvas or delicate miniature; the only requirement is that it can be hung on the wall. Artwork for the exhibition will be selected by a judging panel - Shauna Richardson, the East Midlands 2012 Cultural Olympiad Artist, Abi Spinks, curator at Nottingham Contemporary, Keith Logan, owner of Gallery Top, and Sally Gatie, Gallery visitor. The prizes up for grabs are, The Judges Prize £250 – Sponsored by the Welbeck Estates Company, The Harley Prize £750 – Sponsored by The Harley Foundation, The People’s Prize of £250 and goody bags for the judges favourite entries from the under 12's. The entry fee is £10 per person, for which you can enter up to 3 pieces. Entries from under 12's are free, and will be exhibited separately in a special children's show. Visit www.harleygallery.co.uk to find out how to enter and for the full competition details. You The Gallery needs to receive your entry between the 5 and 11 December . The Harley Gallery is on the A60, Mansfield Road, Welbeck S80 3LW and open from 10am - 5pm / 4.30 Sundays. We look forward to seeing your work. Good Luck!
