Studio Talk and Workshop: Sound Catchers

Sound Catchers is a concept for outdoor performance using live percussion, dance and digital technologies that will be presented by Broadway for Nottingham Light Night in February 2024.

Join this lunchtime talk followed by an optional workshop with dance artist, Near Now Studio member and Sound Catchers co-creator Jess Murray.

TALK: 1-2PM

The Sound Catchers team will talk about the process of developing the project, and their ideas for a community cast performance workshop due to be premiered at Nottingham Light Night 2024.

WORKSHOP: 2-3.30PM

(Optional) Stay after the talk to take part in a practical movement-based workshop.

Experiment with sound-generating wearable technologies using improvisation strategies to develop narrative based around the themes of the show.

Q&A: 3.30-4PM
