City Arts’ Get Creative Collective present an exhibition exploring what ‘Home’ means to them.

Get Creative supports a group of six artists who have learning disabilities, mental health issues or are receiving other types of health care in the community. Weekly sessions act as a pop-up studio space for the artists. With one-on-one support from artist Dominique Cunnington and our team of volunteers, group members work on their own art projects.

The theme of the exhibition is ‘Home’. Each artist has used their favoured artistic style to capture their feelings about this theme. They are assembled in the style of a kaleidoscope. Each artist has also created sculpture that represents home to them. They range from a telephone box to a favourite Chinese takeaway. These are presented alongside images of the group captured by photographer Jo Wheeler and City Arts staff.
