Indiana: Live from Splendour Festival

With a voice half way between Adele and Beth Gibbons from Portishead, we chat to Nottingham's new most wanted singer-songwriter



Six months ago Indiana was totally unknown in the local music scene. Then she sent a demo into the Future Sound of Nottingham contest and came out as first pick by the first round judges.

She went on to play her first ever gig in the Market Square (quite a venue for a debut we think you'll agree) and within a couple of months followed it up with appearances at Dot To Dot and Rock City. There's now a clutch of labels trying to sign her. Jared Wilson had a natter after her performance on the LeftLion stage at Splendour 2012.
