The Community Channel’s Talent Studio is a national filmmaking project created and run by young people from challenging backgrounds, giving them the chance to tell their stories and get their voices heard. The groups involved recieve filmmaking training by a dedicated professional media trainer. Talent Studio is delivered by Media Trust in partnership with two young people’s charities, Fairbridge and Catch22 and funded through the Big Lottery Fund.
Talent Studio will deliver 72 film courses in two years across four cities, involving 576 young people. Community Channel can be viewed on Sky 539, Virgin TV 233 and Freeview 87.
