Travelling Gastronomers, the UK’s newest touring pop-up street food market, are returning to Nottingham after a very successful inaugural event last month. They will be setting up stall (over fifteen stalls in fact) from Friday 17 - Sunday 19 June 2016 for their second weekend of unbridled gastronomic revelry.

The first Travelling Gastronomers event went down a right treat, with over 4,500 lovely locals attending across the three days. With live music, a licensed bar and lucky weather, people were hanging out, bumping into friends and sampling more food as the day rolled on. They now have dates lined up at Sneinton Market once a month throughout the summer.

Dreamt up by the foodie duo Ali Gannagé Addison-Atkinson and Liz Hoskyn, Travelling Gastronomers celebrates the best street food, produce and brews the UK has to offer. Ali and Liz are on a mission to bring reasonably priced, gastronomic food to your hometown in a bid to export London’s growing street food revolution far and wide.

Expect a variety of traders all with different delicacies on offer. At the May event, Masterchef 2015 runner-up and Asian-fusion ace Pete Hewitt sold more than seventy kilos of lip-smacking Homeboys chicken, while Dim Sum Sue served up in excess of 500 mouth-watering bao buns.

Liz and Ali said: “We had a fabulous time in Nottingham last month and can’t wait to make it bigger and better this time round. We have extended our opening times, so you will now be able to grab a tasty lunch on Friday, as we open at the earlier time of 12 noon.”

They’ve also upped the entertainment factor with more bands, starting with the Littletones and Adam Peter Smith on Friday evening.

If you’re a trader and you’re conjuring up great food, Travelling Gastronomers are open to pitches. Travelling Gastronomers website
