Archaeology Now Talk: The Enduring Story of Troy

At Lakeside Arts

Description

Vicky Donnellan, Project Curator, Department of Greece and Rome, British Museum

The story of the Trojan War has been reinvented and retold for 3,000 years. The British Museum’s BP exhibition Troy: Myth and Reality (21 November 2019 – 8 March 2020) takes up the challenge of telling the story once more and explores its fascination for archaeologists, artists and many others. Vicky Donnellan will discuss the exhibition and the experience of displaying the myth, its reality and legacy.
