WEDNESDAY 9TH OCTOBER, 7PM - 10PM
Nate Wilson (Mimm/Nottingham Street Food Club)
For many, Nate Wilson is something of a new age Renaissance man. Through his passion for art, music and fashion, he has almost single-handedly rekindled Hockley’s reputation as the city's cultural hub.
Although Nate has worked as a consultant for both the Red Bull Music Academy, and Gilles Peterson’s Future Bubblers project, he is most commonly introduced as the Owner/Creative Director of Mimm. Initially a street fashion store, the Mimm brand has grown to become a platform for Nottingham's creatives through its radio station and live audio-visual events.
More recently, Nate has delved into the world of gastronomy, with the launch of the Nottingham Street Food Club in Vic Centre’s Clocktower dining area. Here, the emphasis is on providing guests with dishes supplied by a rotating roster of local independent food traders.
A truly integral figure in Nottingham’s cultural landscape, Nate will be talking in-depth about his journey, from its humble beginnings, to his current position as one of the city’s most celebrated creatives.
