When?

Manchester Collective & Chesaba

At Lakeside Arts

Description

Sirocco is pure joy and energy – a blast of music that celebrates diverse folk traditions from across the globe. This is music that will raise the hairs on the back of your neck and bring a wide smile to your face.

Guest Director, cellist Abel Selaocoe is an inspiring artist with an utterly unique, mesmerising, musical voice. He is joined by Sidiki Dembele (African percussion) and Alan Keary (electric bass) from Chesaba and members of Manchester Collective. When the show premiered last year critics described it as a ‘once in a lifetime experience’.
