Puppet Cabaret presents 28TooMany

At City Arts - Nottingham

This moving and challenging show uses puppetry to tell the stories of women affected by female genital mutilation.

Inspired by Verbatim Theatre, a form of documentary theatre in which plays are constructed from the precise words spoken by an interviewee, the show's creators have teamed up with the charity 28TooMany to collect survivors' stories.

28TooMany campaign to end FGM in the 28 African countries where it is practised and their diaspora. The performance will be followed by a discussion with representatives from the charity and the show's creators.

Delivered in partnership with the Theatre Design Department at Nottingham Trent University, this performance is the culmination of the Third Year Project by students Nikki Charlesworth, Amy Duran and Rachel Rolley.
