Storysmash: create digital text adventure games

At St Ann's valley Library

Aged 11-18 years? Have you ever thought about creating your own digital game but wasn’t sure where to start? Just want to try something fun and play around with your ideas?

Join us at Storysmash where you’ll have the chance to take your first steps in doing just that.  You’ll see Twine, a free and easy to use tool, in action, where you’ll have the opportunity to discover the simplest way to create your own super-short, choose-your-own-adventure style story.

Callum and Nicole, our experts from The National Videogame Arcade will help you experiment with your ideas and understand the basics of storytelling. By the end of the workshops you will create a simple Twine game you can share online and in libraries.

No programming skills? Writing not you're strong point? Don't worry; a good imagination, enthusiasm and a desire to tell a story is all you need!

Visit the Storysmash website for full details and to book your free place.

This is a 6-week workshop. All workshops times are 16:00 to 18:00. Dates are: Wednesday 17 January; Wednesday 24 January; Wednesday 31 January; Wednesday 7 February; Wednesday 14 February; Wednesday 21 February
