Join Dr Sophie Littlewood, Curator of The Portland Collection in exploring Sir Anthony Van Dyck’s Portrait of King Charles II When a Boy (c.1638).
Sophie will be discussing why arms and armour were used in portraits of aristocratic and royal children. There will also be an opportunity to study and handle a selection of arms and armour from the collection.
