Talented musicians and superstar songwriters have got a chance to show what they’re made of and bag themselves a regular performance slot as part of a special celebratory open mic night in the city.
Part of Tikifest, The Lost City Adventure Golf’s 6th birthday celebrations, the one-off event on 17 August will give up and coming stars the opportunity to bag themselves a regular paid slot performing in the venue’s Tiki Bar, with the winner getting a £50 bar tab to spend on the night.
Tikifest will kick off at 2pm with children’s activities, facepainting and a steel drumming performance taking place during the afternoon before the competition begins at 5pm.
Entrants of all ages and from all musical styles and genres are encouraged to get involved and wow the audience.
Bar manager Bria Stoddart said, “Our Tiki Bar is already a bit of a hidden gem in Nottingham and we have lots more plans in the pipeline to really put it on the map. This is the first step towards running a regular open mic night and increasing the amount of live music that we put on at weekends.
“We know there’s lots of really talented musicians out there and we can’t wait to see who enters.”
