Two People on the Road

At Broadway Cinema

Broadway welcome artist and Near Now Fellow Joe McAlister to showcase a selection of past and new work, where interactive experiences seamlessly blend technology with fine art.

A computational artist and privacy advocate, Joes work often focuses on themes encompassing metadata, user interaction, data security, and psychology; he approaches these subjects using programming, machine learning, sculpture, projection and performance.

Two People on the Road will feature

·         Interactive installations exploring the spread of misinformation and the data you choose to put online.

·         Generative artwork made by bots.

·         An expressive engine that uses machine learning to create poetry about images taken from open webcam streams around the world.

·         A.I. experiments and playful prototypes.

Taking place throughout Broadway’s Gallery, foyer and Cafébar spaces.

Cafébars and Foyer: Monday - Sunday, 10:00AM - close.

Gallery: Monday - Saturday 1:00PM - 8:00PM. Closed on Sunday 9 Sept.
