A space for our younger creatives to to connect, network, hatch plans, collaborate, skill share, be curious, ask questions and discuss all things creative, digital, entrepreneurship, business, and beyond. If you are aged 16-25, this event is especially designed for you, although all ages are welcome.

GUEST SPEAKERS : Rob Green – Carving a Creative CareerNottingham-based singer songwriter Rob Green will talk about his music career which has involved a televised performance at the BBC Proms, supporting legendary pop/soul group Earth Wind & Fire on an arena tour, composing music for films and theatre productions, and playing hundreds of shows. Rob Green was a Young Creative Awards winner in the Music category in 2012.

Bridie Squires – Say Word?Bridie Squires will talk about her journey, from studying Creative and Digital Media at Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies, to developing a successful creative career as a writer, poet and performer. Bridie is currently Editor-at-Large at LeftLion magazine and was recently appointed as Nottingham Trent University’s Writer in Residence. Bridie was a Young Creative Awards winner in the Creative Writing category in 2014.

Plus a hot desks from: Steve Hobbs, Asking Better Questions Ltd. Steve has over 20 years experience of running his own businesses and 20 years supporting others to start and/or grow theirs. Come & sound your business ideas out face to face with Steve.

- How to research ‘what’ to write about- How to create content for different channels (social, voice, SEO)

Whilst you’re here we’ll introduce you to all the free business courses, talks and workshops on offer to you, here in Nottingham as part of Big House.

PLEASE NOTE: The Big House events are free to you, because they are funded – however there is a cost attached to them for us and we are a not-for-profit organisation. So, if you have registered to come, your place will have been paid for. Our events are very popular and we often have a waiting list. With this in mind, if for any reason you are unable to attend it is very important that you cancel your ticket on Eventbrite as soon as possible, to enable someone else to take your place.
As this course is part of an ERDF funded initiative, we will require you to be enrolled in The Big House Programme, prior to attending the event.
