World Mental Health Day Flashmob in Photos

20 October 15 words: Ali Emm

A flash mob of over 25 dancers took to Broad Street on Saturday 10 October and raised an impressive £180 for Mind in ten minutes flat

Saturday 10 October was World Mental Health Day, and POM (Protect our Minds) decided to take to Broad Street to mark the event and raise awareness with a flashmob of over 30 dancers.

Choreographed by professional West End dancer Molly-May Gardiner, she led dancers and samba percussionists in what was a five minute dancing frenzy. The grand sum of £180 was raised for Mind charity in just ten minutes.

Other local companies involved were The Lofthouse, who gave over their space to allow the group to practice, and Broadway cinema who supplied the sound system on the day. So big up to them, and to anyone who chucked some money in the buckets.
