The Hungarian artist has created book covers for Vintage and Granta. Here she discusses her process for illustrating comics.

Judit Ferencz is an illustrator from Hungary who has designed book covers for Vintage Classics and Granta. She now lives in London. There was also a brief time when she lived in Nottingham, where she illustrated articles for us here at LeftLion magazine. She likes a good story, to listen to, to read and to draw it, which led her to the world of comics. Here she explains how she created the comic ‘Psychos’, in collaboration with writer Nicola Monaghan for Nottingham-based graphic novel Dawn of the Unread.

We have a favour to ask

LeftLion is Nottingham’s meeting point for information about what’s going on in our city, from the established organisations to the grassroots. We want to keep what we do free to all to access, but increasingly we are relying on revenue from our readers to continue. Can you spare a few quid each month to support us?
