3 Game of Thrones Actors from Nottingham

10 June 16 words: Lucy Manning

From Dothraki warriors to incredibly bad-ass child queens, Notts wears the crown in Game of Thrones...

Deon Williams

Deon Williams made his debut in the HBO series in episode four as a young Dothraki warrior, who sadly got his neck snapped by Jorah Mormont and Daario Naharis as he went about his business. The Meadows-born nineteen year old has popped up in various other mainstream TV series, including Caitlin Moran's Raised By Wolves on E4, ITV's Brief Encounters and is currently a student at The Television Workshop.

Bella Ramsey as Lyanna Mormont

Stealing the show in episode seven was young whipper snapper, Bella Ramsey, who got Twitter all in a flutter thanks to her badass performance as Lyanna Mormont, Lady of Bear Island. Despite her scene only being about three minutes long, the ten year old told man like Jon Snow and Sansa Stark that her army was well worth their weight in gold. A member of the Television Workshop's Under-11's group, there are big things predicted to a gwarn for Ms Ramsey, as her next role sees her taking on the world of kid's TV in the CBBC adaptation of The Worst Witch.

Joe Dempsie as Gendry

Of course, Television Workshop veteran and graduate Joe Dempsie was the first to rep Notts in what is now the biggest television series on the planet. Best known for playing Chris in series one and two of E4's Skins, Mr Dempsie was last seen playing Gendry in series three of Game of Thrones. Last seen rowing from Dragonstone to King's Landing, we presume he's still in a paddle boat somewhere, waiting to make his fiery return...

Game of Thrones broadcasts on Sky Atlantic, Monday nights at 9pm.
