The Embankment

Surprisingly bob-on tapas game for a pub. Get to Trent Bridge for everything from chorizo, to halloumi, to dolmades. If someone’s fussy, you could always grab one of their amazing stonebaked pizzas n’all. Read our review.
282 - 284 Arkwright Street, Trent Bridge, Fraser Rd, Nottingham NG2 2GR

One of the posher ones. You’ll be spending a bit more moolah, but definitely worth it. Same people that own World Service, so you can imagine the levels here.
The Shire Hall, High Pavement, Nottinghamshire NG1 1HN

West Bridgford’s finest. They’ve got a garden growing on the side of the building, and the edibles are pretty serious. Get involved in the Moroccan lamb stew if you know what’s good for ya.

Another West Bridgford belter, this time sprouting ‘Oriental Tapas’. Ash in the office says you can’t have tapas if it’s not Spanish tapas. “It’s just small plates of food,” he says. Nonetheless, if you want lots of small plates of the radio rental variety, this lot are not too shabby at all. Plus, tonight, you can see Ronnie Scott playing some tunes from 9pm.

Again, Ash says this is not a thing. But it’s rainy outside and some of us might favour the taste of sweltering-to-the-bone-hot countries. You can still honour the World Tapas Day vibes with a bit of curreh duck. Read our review.

Sherwood’s recently opened tapas gaff. I’d love to tell you more, but you’ll have to check our next issue for the absolute belter of a review. Or you could just get down to experience it for yersen. You know, whatevs.
584 Mansfield Road, Nottingham, NG5 2JN

Tapas or meze. Whatever lights your candle duck. I think Ash’s head is exploding somewhere, but it’s not one to be overlooked. Big shout outs to the octopus, the Greek meatballs, and the warm, terracotta kitchen feels. Read our review.

The Tapastry

Tiny little place at the bottom of Hockley that saw our LeftLion Christmas get a little messy, and a sea of thumbs up from the refined palettes of the magazine heads. I think they said it had a rustic, homely feel, but it was hard to understand through the glugs of wine. Read our review

You know the one what used to be Dogma? It’s not a scratty little club any more, oh no. It’s gone all swish with all kinds of relaxing music cracking off in the basement downstairs. And we can 100% vouch for the snap, service, and overall vibes. Read our review.
