Who are Simply Thrilled?

Simply Thrilled is a commercial film production company and creative agency based in Nottingham and serving the UK & beyond. We use the craft of film to help brands, businesses and organisations big and small to communicate with their audience. In the past our clients have included everyone from household brands like Bose, Universal, The Guardian and Boots to global-hit bands like Toploader as well as one man bands and everything in between. We marry fresh-thinking and progressive creative concepts with sharp execution to make films that turn heads - with over 50 million views of our work racked up on Youtube alone.

And what is Simply Thrilled To Be Kind?

A sense of community spirit and good karma goes to the heart of our DNA as a production company - I was born and bred in Nottingham and am a big ol’ softy who likes giving stuff back to a city that’s been so kind to me.

That’s why we’re doing Simply Thrilled To Be Kind, our yearly pro-bono charity project - any organisation with a charity status can enter and we’ll work closely with the winner to produce a stand-out live-action promo film of up to 90 seconds - something we’d usually charge about £2000+ for. This film can be used online (we’ll also optimise it on Youtube) to promote the charity’s key messages and we’ll make sure it’s produced to the same cinema-quality as the rest of our work.

How can charities get involved?

Any organisation with a charitable status can enter simply by contacting us via email on our website which is www.simplythrilled.co.uk. We’ll be in touch with everyone who enters either way for a bit of a natter and the winner will be picked from a hat on the 31st December 2017. We’ll then be in touch with them to kick off making the film in the new year. And we’ll also keep in touch with everyone who’s entered to see if we can do anything to help them out in the future and hopefully work with them on next year’s freebie film!

Who has benefited from it in the past?

In years gone by we’ve worked with local homeless support charity Emmanuel House on a promo used on their website. This was followed by work with children's charity Safe@Last who we produced a music video for a track which debuted in the top 20 of the iTunes Hip Hop chart.  We also created a series of testimonial films for the Iona School in Sneinton, as well as post production editing training for the staff and volunteers at charity School for Parents also based in Sneinton… It’s good to give!

How did it help them?

It helped gain great exposure to their work and funding in the form of donations - including a very significant amount for Safe@Last. It also helped carry their message in a way which was emotive and compelling for viewers. Our ethos as a company is very much centred around using film as a powerful emotional tool making images that stick with viewers and engage them, not just more drab talking heads shots which will end up boring everyone... We’re all really looking forward to kicking this off and making a film for a good cause!
