Nottingham Poetry Festival: Meet the Poets

When: Monday 23 April - Thursday 26 April

A chance for you to meet, ask questions and share your ideas with some of the talented poets taking part in the city-wide festival. There’ll be different poets each night and a little something for everyone.
How come?:
Talking to other creatives might inspire you, and it’s a nice way to get to know people from around the city. You’ll also hear some poems from the lovely folk at Big White Shed.

Instagram expert Mark Saxby from Status Social and professional photographer Mark Averill will teach you how to take great photos for insta. You’ll go for a walk rahnd snapping pictures and learning how to maximise your chances of success when posting ‘em.

Creative and digital entrepreneurs and SME’s, this one's for you.  The workshop is part of an ERDF funded initiative and you will need to be enrolled in The Big House Programme to attend, but that’s easy enough to do. Get yoursens tech savvy.

Women Got Talent Fundraiser

When: Thursday 26 April, 7pm
Where: The Maze
What: An evening of live music, stand up comedy, animation and spoken word by women in aid of women. A mixed crowd is definitely welcome and certainly encouraged.
How come: It’s a fundraiser for Nottingham Women’s Centre; a space that supports women and helps them gain the confidence and skills to achieve their potential and become more independent.
