What? It’s that time again. New Year’s Eve parties are about to pop up left, right and centre. DHP never fail to whack on a night that’s a cut above the rest, opening up Rock City, Rescue Rooms and Stealth for the biggest party in town. All three venues will be packed with world-class DJs, with tunes ranging across genres and all the bass you can handle. Make sure you bag tickets before they inevitably sell out.

New Year Carnival

When? Monday 31 December, 11pm – 6am
Where? Nottingham Irish Centre
What? With six of Nottingham’s best rave crews on board – including Mimm, Pull It, Tumble, Rubberdub, 2step and Reloaded – New Year’s Eve at the Irish Centre will be a bit of a mad one. Expect massive sound systems, DJs, and the venue kitted out like a proper carnival. Fancy dress optional, good vibes guaranteed.

New Year’s Comedy

What? This year, Glee Club are hosting a New Year’s Eve party that’ll start with comedy and food, and end with a midnight countdown and DJ sets to keep the party going through the night. No better way to end the year than with belly laughs and a fancy-pants dinner.

DirtyFilthySexy Presents: Wicked Winter Fantasy Ball

A night of live music, drag performances and alternative music. Diablofurs will be providing the tunes, with an electic mix of dirty, fuzzy rock ‘n’ roll dressed up in feather boa’s and eyeliner, plus the alternative drag show will see Nana, Glitterhawk and Marika the Alien take to the stage for some first class entertainment. Stick around after the new year bells for DJ sets too.

Back by popular demand for the Malt Cross’ new year’s bash is Harare, the urban, Zimbabwean dance music troupe that have well and truly captured hearts over here in Hoodtown. Harare is one of the few groups to be playing Zimbabwean dance music in Europe, and combine Jit Jive, hypnotic rhythms and unusual instruments to get your lot up on the dance floor. It’s gonna be a lively one.
