Monday Movies

When? Monday 23 July, 5.30pm
Where? Market Square Beach
What?
As if enough ain’t happening at the Notts beach, the powers-that-be have started a Monday movies night: pull up a deckchair, get comfy, and settle in for some feel-good family films. If you can’t make this one, don’t worry, turn up any Monday until the 27th August.
How come? Perfect for a spontaneous date night, a way to entertain the kids, or just summat to get you out from in front of the telly. Turn off Netflix and go do what you’d be doin’ in your own living room anyway, just on a beach.

Board Games and Tabletop Games Night

When? Tuesday 24 July, 6.15pm
Where?
Vat and Fiddle
What?
Whether you’re a pro-gamer or whether you’ve only just passed go and collected two mil, the Vat and Fiddle’s got board games for everyone. Don’t worry about getting bogged down by kiddies- the club ain’t for under 17s, meaning you can get gaming without the worry of little ‘uns playing their snakes and ladders.
How come?
First two sessions are free, meaning that if it really ain’t for you, you’ve not lost a penny. After that it’s a fiver- but this comes with money off drinks. So roll the dice and buy a pint, meet new mates and make new enemies as you go head to head in various miniature, euro and American games. Just don’t be that bugger that flips the table when they lose.

The Best Pub Quiz Ever

When? Wednesday 25 July, 8pm
Where?
The Ned Ludd
What?
This pub quiz makes a bold claim. We’ve gotta admit, while we ain’t gonna join in with calling it the best just yet, it does sound like bleddy good fun. Forget the stuffy general knowledge about politics and all that lark; they promise crazy questions, music rounds, and prizes for the winners. Hosted by Phil Bowen (he denies any relation to Jim), it’s bound to be a laugh.
How come?
If prizes don’t tempt you enough, there’s a bunch of free shots. That’s incentive enough for us.
