Mayhem Film Festival 2018

18 June 18 words: Ashley Carter

The countdown to Mayhem 2018 has officially begun...

Mayhem Film Festival, the biggest and best thing on the Nottingham film calendar, has announced its return for 2018.  The Broadway Cinema based horror, sci-fi and cult film festival is returning for it's 14th year, and will take place between October 11th-14th.

Now a four-day event, Mayhem originally started as a single compilation of short films as part of Bang!, and the short film selection still holds an important place in the festival’s schedule, in the form of the ever-popular Short Films Showcase. The Festival continues to expand, welcoming more special guests, celebrating new and emerging talent, and highlighting bold and exciting new feature and short films from the dark edges of genre and beyond.

As part of the Short Films Showcase, the Mayhem team is on the lookout for the best horror, cult or sci-fi shorts, and will be accepting local, national and international entries for the screening, which consistently proves amongst the most popular of the festival.  Filmmakers can submit their entries, for free, by emailing Melissa Gueneau at [email protected]  The deadline for submission is Friday 17th August.

Early Bird passes are currently on sale, for a limited period, for £65, which allow access to the full festival, including every preview, premiere, special guest, Q&A and event.

To buy an Early Bird pass, please visit the Mayhem Festival Website or contact the Broadway box office on 0115 952 6611.
