The hidden gem of Bridlesmith Gate, Pepper Rocks is sneakily tucked away down Pepper Street, with proper tunes and loads of plants everywhere. Admittedly, they're plastic, but you can't have it all, can you? What’s more, they have an absolutely cracking cocktail deal. Every night you can bag yourself a cocktail for only £4.50 up until 10pm.
When all other happy hours end, Turtle Bay’s is only just beginning. They boast not one but two happy hours every day, from 11.30am-7pm, so basically a happy day, and 10pm-close, meaning you can ditch the old pub crawl of yesteryear and get liquor'd. Top tip: try the Passion Rum Punch to feel like you're back on your holibobs.
Another deal for £4.50. Head down to Tier any day between 5pm-8pm to choose between classics, premiums or signatures. Plus, they've got some pretty serious grilled cheese sandwiches going on there, and you can sit up on the second floor in the window, watching the marvellous sights of Pelham Street unfold in all their drunken glory.
Revolución de Cuba
Potentially the most extensive cocktail menu in the city, and done pretty well. Happy hour is on Monday - Friday, from 3pm-7pm, as well as on Saturdays, from 5pm-7pm offering all cocktails on a two-for-one deal. Your two cocktails don’t have to be the same, and the bogs are dead posh too. Gerr'em in then.
There's three of these boggers in town now. Happy hour is every day from 5pm-10pm, with cocktails at £4.50, and offers a huge variety of cool, original drinks like the Drumstick or Parma Violet. Walk through the velvet curtain and you’ll feel like you’ve stumbled on a speakeasy... with chicken wings. Lots of chicken wings. Watch out for them Naga Vipers.
From Tuesday to Friday 5pm-7pm, grab yourself one of the most unusual cocktails Notts has to offer for only £4. This place is stashed away on Pelham Street, so keep your eyes out or you might miss it. Think jazz, candles, small, wooden space, and you're on the right track.
Every day between 4pm-7pm you can grab a couple of cocktails for £7, to share with a mate or keep to yourself. All the classics feature, but with a cheeky Rescue Rooms twist. Good one for a little tipple before your gig.
Pop in on weekdays between 4pm-9pm for some cracking drink deals. Find two cocktails for eight or nine quid depending on your drink, with the menu very kindly broken down into sections even the most bleary-eyed bogger could decipher. Plus, you know the tunes are gonna be sweet.
